This is a report from Equine Touch student Lauren Moss. As part of Equine Touch training, all students complete over 120 hours of hands on time on horses perfecting their technique through a series of case studies. This particular horse, Rosie, benefited greatly from Equine Touch and we also include comments from her owner, Karen.
Lauren Moss, Equine Touch student: “I went out to see Karen and Rosie as an intermediate case study. Rosie had just returned home after having intense schooling programme with a international dressage rider. Karen her owner felt Rosie wasn't quite right and thought she would give Equine Touch a go. Upon arrival on the first session I quickly found Rosie very sore in her hamstrings and her mid thigh, I could not even hover my hand in that area as there was a strong pain reaction and I dodged a swift kick. I worked using the basic body balance, which is the foundation of Equine Touch. This quickly calmed Rosie, who began to process deeply. During the second session I was able to add two areas of concern procedures and the reaction was huge. She instantly went into a deep processing. Her owner reported that during the days after the second session that Rosie was excelling in her tests, gaining scores she previously hadn't and Rosie was all round happier, straighter and far more supple. Hurrah! On my final and third session I was amazed and awed at how two sessions could change the life of Rosie so much, I had a happy horse in front of me. Equine Touch is hugely powerful and it amazes me every time.”
Karen, Rosie’s owner: “Wow...I am so so impressed with Equine Touch and the difference in Rosie. I rode again in the school over poles and even got canter both reins which is unheard of for me. I then went up the stubble field and she stayed in a beautiful balanced canter....I cant stop smiling 😊😊. She was so tight in her hamstrings and with pain in her girth and chest area. Before Equine Touch she wasn’t coming through her shoulders which as a Welshie she should be free and forward. The Equine Touch sessions led to huge releases and processing which has resulted in a much happier horse and owner.”
